The Samyang AF 14mm F2.8 Sony FE lens is very fast thanks to its exceptionally high-quality optical elements for a 14 mm ultra wide angle lens with F2.8 and allows you fantastic results. Thanks to the extra-large lens diameter of 86 mm and 14 lens elements in 10 groups as well as the UMC coating, it offers outstanding image quality in ultra-wide angle format. This 14 mm wide-angle lens has been specially developed for use with mirrorless Sony cameras with the E-mount. It was developed for use on cameras with full-frame sensors and delivers an angle of view of 113.9°. It can also be used on Sony E-mount cameras with APS-C sensor, here it offers an angle of view of 89.8°. The Samyang AF 14mm F2.8 FE offers an aperture range from F2.8 to F22 and is particularly fast due to the use of very large lenses with the highest quality. The lens diameter is an impressive 86 mm and the backlight blind is permanently installed to prevent disturbing reflections and unwanted light incidence.
With 14 lens elements in 10 groups including three aspherical lenses and the UMC (Ultra-Multi-Coating) multilayer coating, the lens is very elaborately equipped.
Thanks to this high-quality construction, you already get a first-class sharpness from F2.8, which is excellent from aperture 4 – if necessary even in low light!
